They shaved off 180lbs, added 40hp and the car costs DOUBLE the standard one?

this totally depends on HOW they shaved those lbs ... if they just took features out then its not cool ... if the entire car is CF, then (while still rediculous) is a little more justified

No....No....No....This is stupid. Its like they are obligated to increase the price because the competition is around that margin.

Yeah, but won't this car actually have like 650hp, then?

I told you guys there is no way that the V-spec will be under $100K, why so surprised?

Simple supply and demand. Probably only a couple hundred units are destined for the US per year, so Nissan figures they can charge whatever the hell they want for it.

Price is crazy, but why not - low supply, and I guess they figure if they don't charge $130k themselves, the Nissan dealers will....

It is this simple: if you think it is not worth the price, don't buy it. You could always buy a regular GT-R and modify yourself and probably it would beat the Spec V this way and still save some money. I personally don't think $130k is too much, considering the performance it has. If GT2 is costing $191k and the Lexus LF-A is going to cost $180k, then I think $130k GT-R Spec V is still a bargain. But a regular GT-R is good enough for me.

only bad thing is that my weight will eventually negate the 180lb loss .
