I believe the 20K (and that was estimated by some source ... not BMW), is for worldwide sales. Per BMW they are sold out in the US through the end of the year.

Who in their right mind would want an X6? It's not beautiful. It's not spacious. It's not efficient. It's expensive. I'm amazed they sell any.
I'd get an X5, a Cayenne, even an Infiniti FX, before I'd get an X6.

i think X6 is pretty vehicle, just was admiring one few days ago. My problem is that it makes no sense at all... Car has not benefit over X5/5 series that I can see... It looks nice but makes no sense.

8k?
In any case, 20k worldwide is extremly low for an mass market vehicle that is supposed to get big ad campaign and what not. Well worldwide is 90% USA probably, but still, 1,5k per month is very low number when you see what "competition" is doing at same price segment.
How do you plan to sell 3x less than your competition average?

IMO, Toyota should have done a regular Hybrid Corolla to start with (like Honda with the Civic Hybrid), instead of the Prius. The Prius, at least for my tastes, is too geekily styled inside and out, especially the dash.

Did you forget about the 1st gen Prius we got here in the US? It was like a Echo hybrid, it seems that the geeky styling is what helps to attract a different and less traditional buyer
