It's cheaper and safer than a motorcycle (we don't have A/C or power windows either), and will be easier and cheaper to maintain.

If you can get rid of the "I'm driving a soap box" mentality, I think it will functionally be o.k.

as PhilipMSPT said, whatever its crash rating is....its safer than any motorcycle.....can't be any worse than the 95% aluminum Honda Insight I have now.

Its a VERY basic car. However, for a winter beater, or someone who just needs an appliance to get from A to B, its perfect!

Crash test ratings aren't as good as the Fit or Yaris, but when you are that small in size its hard to differentiate.
