Thanks. I recognized the tone of the article because I grew up in England with all its b.s. class envy and resentment. And at 19.... I left. Went to Canada first, where they attempt to have no 'classes' (pretty successfully) and don't like ostentatious flaunting of wealth. After a couple of years I said screw that, and came to the U.S. I'm not a flashy guy though... I just don't anyone should be looked down on if they choose to be. I think a guy like Trump has 'issues', but hey, more power to him! (On a political note, that's why Obama, as nice a guy as he seems to be, bothers me, because he seems to want to punish the rich for being successful - that is the politics of class warfare )
I've noticed when I listen to NPR at 2 or 3 in the morning when they run BBC World Service it's very, very biased especially when it comes to money, and the environment, (think the greater good from Hot Fuzz). I always thought the BBC did a very good job at reporting but the more I listen to them the more personal agendas I hear.
It's funny though, i'm 19 now and I would love nothing more than to go back to London and live or go to school there.
As for the owner of the ugly LP640 I got one word for you: BALLIN'
this wasnt a chartered flight, The lambo just hitched a ride and "airpooled" to england on a scheduled flight that was leaving with or without the lambo on board. Environmentalists need to get their sand out of their vag over this.
Is it me or is that a very ricey looking Lamborghini? The gold on the body does not go with the black. Agree with others, "green people" upset over nothing, it is his money and his choice.
He is lucky nobody tried to key the car or splash paint on it. Either that, or most people are not as upset as they "should be" about it.

Was there outrage from activists when U2's Bono flew his hat first class (later upgraded to ride with the captain )? Or is Bono beyond reproach, while a sheik is automatically a scourge upon the earth? Geez, it's not like he hijacked the plane!

You're not imagining it!

Green campaigners need to get their panties out of a bunch.
It's the man's money and if he's baller-status enough to fly his exotic car out almost 4000 miles to get an oil change, let him be.
Exactly. There is nothing we can say or do that will ever change the choices of the ultra rich. I'm sure the owner does many other things that are even more wasteful than this . After all this was just an oil change. Imagine what he does if he wants to throw a party!! Probably throws away $10 million on party favors. It's his money, let him do what he wants.
