Changes in the exterior are for the better. Interior still looks cheap, even with nav.

carguy and TRDfantasy, enough with the Camry / Altima debate. And I think you've both stated your case about the engines.

I will agree with that. The interior has not aged very well, and looks cheaper than it should. Hopefully the next-gen Rav4 will have a big step up in the interior.

there is an huge difference in real life, of course.

AR series should be really nice... AZ was getting long in the tooth. Differences between ZZ and ZR were pretty nice and I hope same goes for AZ to AR...

Final specs have now been released on the 09' RAV4:

2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve SFI Dual VVT-i 4-cylinder; 179 hp @ 6000 rpm/172 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm

Miles Per Gallon (city/highway) : 22/28

13 hp and 1mpg increase over 08'models w/ added content too (weighs around 60 lbs more then before). Not bad, not bad at all....

it isnt? most powerful, most economical, even with 4AT? It certainly beats Nissan Rogue, again, with 4AT vs CVT.
