Default Dont really like SC's in photos but love them in real life ??

Maybe its just me but everytime I see a picture of an SC it just does not appeal to me that much, but then I see if in real life and I love it...........I just dont get it Am I the only one?

Before I bought my SC I was looking at pictures of different ones and I was not impressed at all, then I saw one on the road and loved the look so at that point I went and picked one up.

1SC or 2SC? I like 1SC in person and in pics. Not so for 2SC.

I'm convinced the 1SC is the best Lexus design of all - it has stood the test of time, and STILL looks great and current. The 2SC looks like a bad jello mold.

i fell in love with the 1sc along time ago i have had 2 sc's both were the orignal body but i did do the 97+kit on my current sc and honestly i don't really like the lack of grille anymore. the 2sc needs a lot of work to get it looking good.

The 1SC has an excellent look...maybe the rear end is a bit simplistic by today's standards but the rest of the car is gorgeous. I like the original, grille-less look best.

only barely related:

i think the 2SC actually looks quite good but requires some minor cosmetic mods (for a start, eye lids)

I agree. I think the 2SC looks like poop in stock form. The wheels are too conservative and the wheel design looks like crap. I've seen some real sexy 2SC with only a drop and wider wheels.

1st & 2nd gen SCs. 1SC = SC300/SC400, 2SC = SC430 with retractable hard top.

The 1SC is the best looking lexus by far and looks even more incredible lowered and with the right set of wheels. I think the 2SC does not look great stock, but again with some minor mods they come out stunning. My problem with the 1SC is finding one that is nimble and fast, the one's that I have test drove have not impressed me, I like driving my IS300 much better. Still I want to try a turbo SC and a 1998-2000 SC400 to see if there is a big change.

The SC is a 3600lb beast of a car, its not going to be nimble and requires some force to push it around. Mine is a ton of fun to drive because it has loads of grip and is very smooth.

Of course the lighter IS300 will be more nimble, but faster? Cars are so close, it comes down to the driver. The 5-speed SCs are a joy to drive and a lot quicker than the manual cars. Oh and you get the beastly OBD1 GE motor already included With the IS, you're stuck with the VVTI block unless you make changes.

As for looks, a 1SC with staggered, flush-mounted wheels with a nice lip (especially in the rear) and suspension setup for little to no wheel-gap looks outstanding and looks VERY nice.
