The Miata gets its name back for 2009

Post The Miata gets its name back for 2009
After being officially known as only the Mazda MX-5 from 2006 through 2008, Car And Driver reports that the 2009 model will now once again be officially called the MX-5 Miata.

Not with the Mazdaspeed engine from the 3 and 6 but they maybe could FI the stock Miata engine.

I'm glad they're bringing back the name.

I'm VERY glad they are bringing back the name. It's well known in the US that a Miata is a Miata. More than half the people do not know what an MX-5 is.

Whoever signed off on dropping the Miata name in the first place should be fired. It was obviously a bad decision.
