Ninja 250R is a much better choice. More practical, reliable and just as affordable as RS50.
Thou the 08 250s are impossible to find.

I had a Aprilia RS50 a long time ago, 5 years maybe. Mine was bored out to be 80cc. It was a fun little bike. It wasnt that stable above 50mph. 2 strokes are fun to play with. Plus it had oil injection so no need to premix. These RS50's are mainly used at pit bikes.

I actually have this on order. Should be here in Sept/Oct.

Can't wait.

Yes it comes like that, the one in the pic is basically stock. It just has aftermarket exhaust.

Its a 2008 Yamaha WR250x.

It has fuel injection. Will do 90mph. Extremely fun to ride. Handles really well, awesome bike if you ask me. And it gets 70mpg! You can even jump it, wheelies, go down stairs, basically be a hooligan.

I will get my 2009 in about 2 months.

Aprilia's are cool bikes - but in general I've heard they can be a pain to get parts for, not to mention their expense. Waiting 30+ days isn't uncommon.

If you want a low cost bike (maintenance, parts, insurance) the Ninja 250 is the way to go - as mentioned by Jujharoo. The bike has been redesigned for 2008 so everyone is snagging them up - I think they get over 60mpg!

avoid the 2 chokes unless you really wanna rev the heck out of it for power and don't mind the work involved with them...Ninja 250s, SV650's are a much better choice...
