Not only that, but four-door convertibles are generally harder than two-doors to engineer body/chassis stiffness into, to prevent cowl-flex. Of course, modern computer-engineering and high-strength metal alloys help, but that is one of the main reasons why most automakers gave up on 4-door convertibles long ago...another reason being the limited rear-seat room that is more or less inherent in many droptops. The last production 4-door convertible in the U.S. that I can remember was a long time ago....the Lincoln Continental convertible of the 1960's.

I just purchased a 2011 Murano LE and love the double sun roofs and think it would be kind of fun to have the top down. Then again the groceries and all of the baby supplies could fly out the window. LOL. I still think its something fun for customers and a segment where fun has been forgotten.

Thanks buddy. I am loving the LS460. I have to say I love the open feeling that the added sunroof gives . I live in AZ and its always sunny. The added light is nice and unique
