2010 Cadillac SRX @ NAIAS (update pg. 2)
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Today Cadillac provided a special sneak preview of the next-generation SRX Crossover, a 2010 model that will launch worldwide in mid-2009.The all-new SRX is intended to bring a more dynamic alternative to the heart of the luxury crossover segment, featuring a fresh iteration of Cadillac’s signature design language.
“The next-generation SRX is the result of the continued exploration and refining of Cadillac design language, with the goal of creating dramatic presence in the luxury crossover space,” says Clay Dean, Cadillac design director.
The all-new SRX debuts at major global auto shows later this year, at which time complete details will be released. The 2010 model will replace the current SRX Crossover, which launched in 2004 as a key component of Cadillac’s ongoing product renaissance and global expansion. This next-generation crossover is similar in styling and proportion to Cadillac’s Provoq Concept that appeared in many auto shows during 2008.
The all-new production model is being developed to achieve excellent driving dynamics and wet-weather traction, with an elegantly modern cabin designed to accommodate five passengers and ample cargo.
“The next-generation SRX, along with the new CTS Sport Wagon, showcases Cadillac taking its dramatic design into new directions, particularly cars and crossovers that are the right size at the right time for today’s luxury consumers,” said Jim Taylor, Cadillac general manager.

I see a busted SUV. An unreliable SUV. An SUV that will bond you and your service rep at the local cadillac dealership. Looks like cadillacs me too SUV. Its not as nice looking as the infiniti FX and doesnt have the performance rep or following. I cant believe they added the fender vents like infiniti. They are copy cats . lol

i think caddie achieved their goal here
personally, i dislike crossovers all together, but i'm totally ok with this on (still wouldn't buy it though)
so long as that vent behind the front wheel is useful, this looks just fine

Anyway, I think this is a fantastic looking car. It's got Cadillac style all over it. I'm really not seeing the comparisons to the RX or the FX... it shares ZERO lines with those two cars. The belt line, greenhouse lines, character lines, everything is different! And seriously good looking at that.

Looks nice. I like Cadillac's design language. Bold and distinctive. Doesn't look like a Lexus, doesn't look like an Infiniti. It looks like a Caddy. Glad they're confident enough to wear that proudly.

I hope it has a similar interior to the CTS' current drop dead gorgeous interior.
It's not like the FX is the first SUV ever with fender vents.
Caddy does very well in both the IQS and VDS surveys from JD Power.... MUCH better than Infiniti.
