Has anyone had aftermarket TV's installed in their headrests? If so, any advice as to brand, installation considerations, etc. I was thinking about doing this in my LS and Rover but am unsure and thought that at least a few of you had it done...

I had 7" touch screen monitors (TME-M770) mounted in the headrest in my RX330, and then transferred to my 99 LS400, and will now be installing them in my 03 GS430. I did all the installation myself. Just need to take your time and not be afraid to cut the leather and foam headrest. I bought spare headrest for my RX330 so that gave me confidence just in case I made a mistake I had spares. With the LS, I didn't have spares, but I already done it before so I knew what to expect. With the GS, I plan to get spares again just because it makes it much easier to return to stock if/when you need to.
On both RX and LS, I had a complete Alpine system so there was no factory integration needed and I bypassed the OEM amps.
My only advice is to get good quality LCD monitors. Cheap monitors will have a poor off axis view so it will be dramatically dimmer unless you view it from strait on. Flush mounting without the trim looks IMHO cleaner and more custom, but mounting with the provided monitor trim makes it much easier to install as the trim will hide any flaws along the edge of the monitors. However, it looks more like store bought monitors if done that way. If you can, find yourself a spare set of headrests if you are doing a custom installation. If you are buying a ready made headrest no need to worry about that.

I would do something like that in the future when I have kids. In the mean time the cheap dual screen kits from walmart for about 200 bucks work fine if I am going on a long trip and have passengers
