another is a boyish racer type coupe thats probably comparable to IS

Great news! Maybe this will make toyota and nissan to bring out another wave of supercars like in the 90's with supra's and 300zx's. I wouldn't mind owning this hyundai. Twin turbo 3.8(if they make it) will be bad @ss.

While Honda has less sporty offerings than in their past, they still are tuner friendly. Toyota can't spell tuner friendly, but they can spell SUV and profit.

Shame on Toyota.

It will be of great interest to me how Hyundai, in their "tuner friendliness," handles warranties with respect to modifications on cars. We know how crappy Dodge and Mitsubishi are, never mind Nissan and the GT-R. They have the best warranties but do they get voided if you install a CAI or coilovers? What about a freakin HKS turbo upgrade? I'd really like to know.

They might have something set up where you have to buy the parts through Hyundai and have them install it in order to keep the warranty. i think Scion does that for the supercharger option on the TC.

In that case, it's not very "friendly." I would never pay Toyota to install coilovers or a supercharger on my car. Time will tell I guess.
