I have to say those, lets all be honest. Greddy didn't have a big push here. I was surprised they did the 3GS at SEMA last year.

Henry if you remember, they even posted here a few times back in the day in the 2GS forum.

A shame. Needed better marketing here, b/c the tuner market continues to grow.

oh most definitely, i am not denying that at all on the marketing. i can't say much about their marketing strategy in japan overall, but overseas, they have definitely been declining (and maybe even none). that doesn't help at all.

one main reason i see behind the failure of trust and probably a few other big names in next couple years is smaller manufacturers making equivalent quality parts for less money. if i wanted to build another turbo mitsubishi right now, the last parts i'd buy would be from big name japanese tuning companies. they're just overpriced for the performance benefit. anyone who's been into the game for a while knows the smaller guys who make good parts for a good price.
not knock offs, but their own designs at a smaller volume, basically marketed towards those people who do know what they are doing and what parts are truly worth.
$800 exhaust systems? seriously. yes the r&d was costly and it will make the hp as advertised. so what it's all polished stainless steel and looks pretty, it's under the car and getting dirty anyway. 3" pipe flows the same no matter whose name is on it. making a 3" system from pipe stock and a mandrel bender at a good muffler shop costs half as much as works just as well.

They'll be restructuring, much like Blitz and Apex-I have since filing for bankruptcy in '06. With locations in NJ and CA and demand still there, Greddy will survive.

my greddy source straight from greddy said that greddy USA along with its other offices around the world will still remain open and will still offer greddy products. ONLY TRUST japan is closing down. Greddy will search for a new company to make their products

That's still kinda crappy though as GReddy is the supplier not the manufacturer, they'll just rebrand some other companies products. GReddy will still be open as a distributor but won't be distributing TRUST products anymore, unless TRUST restructures and continues to produce the same line of products.
