Timeless classic the SC is....wish Lexus would of made evolutionary changes instead of revolutionary a la the present day SC430....

uhh...theres the **** that controls the brightness of the guages/cluster

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe the gauges in the earlier SC's could be dimmed. It was one of the biggest complaints about the car.

Great find! I have a 5-speed SC and the article is pretty accurate.

I'm not so sure about the crunchy synchros they are talking about.... Mine has 160,000 miles and more than double the hp and torque (turbocharged) and it shifts smooth and silky on an original tranny. They surely had a test car that was abused or some pre-production gearbox.

As for the gauges: yes, they can be dimmed on all years.

Nice find. I wish the new SC would've kept the same shape

Back in the days, I remembered seeing a personal plate on an SC:
928WNBE
