Angry Pressure washing my IS300 motor.

So I decided to pressure wash my motor last night.

I Let it cool.
Sprayed the motor with motor cleaner.
Let it sit for 15mins.
Pressured washed it.
Let it run for 15mins.
Sprayed Armor all all over the engine bay, including the motor.

It drove fine last night. This morning I turned it on and it starts to kind of bogg out; like it wants to die out. What did I **** up? Any feedback would be appreciated it. Thanks

The pressure washer probably put water where it wasn't supposed to go. Was your engine so dirty that it required a pressure washer to clean it? Just spray some Simple Green and use a typical garden hose to clean it off, no pressure needed, comes out sparkling clean.

when i washed my engine last and it was behaving the same way it was because water got to the spark plugs. previous owner installed the spark plug wires in such a way that the seal on some of them were damaged.

this is why i just get some old rags and a tooth brush and do it the old fashion way. have engine running, spray some cleaner and wipe off till shiny.

Never use those harsh engine cleaning sprays and never use pressurized water on your engine. Water and soap or an "Orange' cleaner and a rag. Wash off with water, make sure the engine is cold.

You may have water collected somewhere in there.

For now, don't drive it yet.

Just let the engine runs for about an hour and hopefully the heat will dry it out.

Good luck.

It was water that got in the spark plug holes. Soaked up the water, pulled out the spark plugs and replaced with new ones. Worked perfect! Thanks

It has happened to me as well but now when I do wash the engine bay, I cover with plastice bags the distributor. I also place small towels in the rear entrance to the spark plug bay. I wash mine now every so often with no problems... Thanks to the good Lord!!
