Default Nissan Skyline R35 GT-R Transmission Disposable?

I found this on another forum. It is a page from the owner's manual. Mods, if this is a repost, please delete.

I also saw that on the SF and was shocked.... Don't these things sell for about $90-95k on average? does the warranty cover transmission failure if the driver used the launch control?

This is supposed to be a DD type car.
Does the 911 turbo require complete rebuilds? People with Ferraris and Lamborghinis probably have more disposable income than the regular GT-R owner (not to say that GT-R owners are poor but the car is priced significantly less).

A GTR as a DD I see what your saying but cars that are expensive and push a lot of power cost more it's no different then average joes/janes buying cars with big wheels only to realize they need to drop over a grand to replace the rubber.

Porsche's are highly reliable from what I heard/read and the pre-production testing is insane, but it works I don't know about rebuilding the trans but I thought new clutches where pretty damn expensive, lasting only 20k with lite driving

This just came to mind but maybe this is that weird Japanese law where after a certain mileage they pull the engine and put a new one in, guess that also goes for the trans, maybe this is just an easier way to keep track of parts and maintenance

Maybe we only now know this because the GTR is a US specific car and the owners manual is in English

Well, the way some owners will drive this car, the transmission probably WILL be disposable.

Ha,Ha,Ha.... That is first for me, thanks for the laugh!

Why do they have this? Like I have said from the start, b/c the GTR is built for one thing... speed. Reliability, quality interior and comfort don't really come into the equation. Anyway...

At least Nissan is anticipating tranny issues the best it can.

Unless the law changed, I believe all cars in Japan need to have their motor's replaced at 100k km. I am unsure about the transmissions.
