How do I say this nicely.......

im not disagreeing....
im sure the namebrand bodykit fits slightly better then the knockoff but does it fit better enough to warrant paying 5 times the price?
if you have a decent quality knockoff kit (yes they do exist) you might end up paying 2/300 bucks extra in bodywork to get it to fit properly, but thats a deal opposed to the 2500 extra for slightly better fitment and the black stamp in the fiberglass.
if you junction produced your car to show off the fact that you have rare/expensive parts then i can dig that. but to argue that theyre worth it for the 'quality'.....bah. its like saying spiderman #1 has higher quality paper and ink then the reprint. youre paying for rarity and name.
again this is strictly for body and appearance mods. engine and suspension mods. completely different story.

It depends on the company too. Just b/c its 5 times more expensive does not mean they put 5 times more money into it.
Do the research is what I've learned and what I preach.
I like having nice conversations where I don't have to lie or I can supply a simple answer
"Hey is that BBS?
-why Yes it is
instead of
"Hey is that BBS?
-well, uhhh, no, its not a BBS wheel, but its a replica of it. I don't drive hard anyway so it doesn't matter. I wanted the look of a BBS wheel but the prices were insane. BBS wheels are overpriced anyway. My wheel is just as good for the most part"

I have no choice , I have to buy JDM dam it!!!
Seriously, I am a firm believer in the saying " you get what you paid for" . It is not often you get a dud product when you original, and if you happen to be unlucky 9 times out of 10 things will be righted without any headaches.

This reminds me of Eisenhaus getting shut down when they blatantly tried to sell their stuff as Eisemann BMW exhausts. It was funny because the Korean made Eisenhaus fakes were much better made than the German originals.
