Dealer Employees Caught DRAGRACING Pre-Order GT-R's!
Yes.... Plural as in more than 1.
These lamers need to be seriously dealt with... And i don't mean just fired!
Could this be true? A pair of brand new pre-delivery GT-Rs at the Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI, USA on the weekend. These cars were still completely covered in interior plastics and are said to have arrived to the drag strip wearing dealer tags.
If it is, surely these can’t be sold to unassuming customers as brand new cars!?
Be careful if you’re buying one of these in Southeastern WI or Northern Illinois/Chicago areas. You will want to verify the delivery mileage as well as general tire condition and so forth.
Thanks to Nick who shot these photos for passing them along to us.

At my dragstrip back in Mexico we occasionally had some dealers running some vehicles before final sale, not sure if they had intended owners or were just racing them to show off/advertise or just plain mischief.

At least they would have the time slip to close the deal... "You don't want the one from "A dealer" ,it only ran a 13.3, ours on the other hand ran a 12.5 the other day while it was in the other lane... see here is the time slip!"

I don't know... I'd kinda need a little bit more solid evidence that they weren't AUTHORIZED to be there. When I worked at a dealer here in Tampa, when you needed a dealer plate, you had to go to the shop foreman to get the tags and had to sign them out and for what reason. I'm willing to bet that if the cars had dealer tags on them, they were probably authorized to be there. Test drives are no more than 3 miles, so if they come back with more than that (and you have to record the out and in mileage on the PDI sheet), someone's gonna notice. ESPECIALLY on a car like this... where every mile is money.
On a side note... I've noticed that on a lot of your posts if someone doesn't agree with your stance, then they are unequivocally wrong. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and not everyone is going to agree with you... So, when they don't (and they won't) don't post back calling them schleps. Just my .02.

I agree. It does seem like more facts are needed. It would be hard for 2 average Joe's from a dealership to get the the sales manager or GM to release the 2 (probably pre-sold) GTR's to them for a couple of hours.

This would not be the first nor the last time dealership employees would engage in such actions.

Rosen Nissan on 27th in Milwaukee has two cars that look IDENTICAL to these sitting on their lot, buyer beware

raceway with a friend. plastic still on the seats
