You have 50 grand for a car, what would you buy

The problem with getting an older Ferrari or something similar is that performance has increased so much in the past few years, that those cars can't really keep up with the new generation of sports cars. Obviously the styling is timeless, and I'm sure something like a F355 would be thrilling to drive, but I would find it very difficult to pay $50k for a car like that (not to mention the insane maintenance) and have it struggle to keep up with a new M3 or something.

So many choices,, but for me...
With $50k for a daily driver to replace my IS, I would get a new Acura RL in a heart beat. It’s a fun & reliable AWD car that has just the right balance. To me the car does nothing great, but everything well... what more can you ask for.
It if were for a second (fun) car... I would (and am actually researching) get an NSX. Its an NSX nuf said
Wow never realized I liked Acura that much Anyway, back to reality and driving and loving my Lexus IS for another 6 years or so
Good Luck

A new RL, right? Tough choice.....but the answer is probably yes. AWD is important to me, and the LS did not introduce it until this year.....there are no used ones.
That, BTW, IMO, was a serious Lexus marketing mistake. Lexus should have given their car line the AWD option years before they did. They waited much too late, even with the first IS and GS AWD models in 2006-2007.

Even though I have not driven the 09 TL SH-AWD I would not say it is far superior then the RL. The RL has a much nicer interior and is more focused on luxury, refinement, and attention to detail where the TL is more focused on performance and being sporty. Both cars blend elements of sporty and luxury but I would prefer the RL as it has the nicest interior to me of any car under 60K and nicer then most cars over 60K and loved how it drove. The 09 TL has a nice interior too and it is very well done but it is certainly more of a sporty look with all the metal trim and does not impress me as much as the RL interior. I like the looks of the RL more too but I have to see the TL in person to make final judgement. I also like that you don't see an RL at every place you go and everywhere you drive like you do with TLs and other cars in its class.

Eh I am happy with a IS350 being young....plus it was 44k with tax so there isn't really any new cars I would get... I just dislike used cars... unless I knew who owned it personally...if that was the case a SL55 AMG
