Performance luxury sedans: Pre-owned E55 AMG, pre-owned M5
Performance sports cars: Pre-owned Supra TT, pre-owned Zo6
I am a little biased towards performance. lol
Oh, and if your looking into the E55 or M5 try to find one for $40K so you have $10K left over for gas for the first year. ha ha
The S5 is REALLY REALLY nice too. I just saw one the other day in black and lowered it was very impressive looking. Give it a look too... GL!

A 1999 Infiniti I30 and/or a Maxima SE. VG30DE! Then keep the rest of the money and use it to modify the I30/Maxima and the SC.
Or I could take the second path: an early E46 sedan. $10-15k for the car and rest on repairs.

+1 but I don't think you have any change left over from that $ 50.K

Actually, a 911 turbo is on ebay with 65k miles, for 42k. AWE tuning has a k24 turbo kit, with k24 turbos, upgraded ecu and exahust for just over $10k. The kit gives the turbo over 600hp on race fuel and 585 on 92 octane. So yes having a 911 turbo with mods to have 600hp is do able for $50k or a little over. BTW, if all out speed is not the only thing, you can's go wrong with a Acura NSX for $50k.

i'd be in for a pre-owned LS460 RominL style or a pre-owned CLS like the one below.
The cars themselves can be had for less than 50k on the used market... mods naturally would cost more.
