Angry It just took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to get gas

Everyone is out except a couple of places. Chaos, utter chaos.

I cannot believe I spent that much time on a Saturday morning getting gas.

Brutal Mike. Do they have any idea when the refineries will come back on line so you guys are not starving down there? Rumor has it, it is made worse by people filling up when they have 3/4 of a tank....

I've almost ran out of gas everyday this week.

The only good thing is, I work overnight so when I get off, its pretty easy to find gas once you can find a station with some. I just wish the the stations without gas would take down the damn prices so you won't waste time pulling into the damn place, just to see trash bags over the hoses!

I'm stayin puttin this weekend. I hope the gf doesn't mind...

I didn't realize there was gas issues right now.

Up in the northeast it's been steadily dropping since the hurricanes.

It's $3.35 a gallon right now. I've never seen long lines at a gas station before in my life.

its only a regional thing, that area of the country gets its gas from pipelines from refineries elsewhere. Get some hurricanes attacking Texas, Louisiana, Florida and that pipeline gets shut down

In Northern New Jersey we were $3.39 then $3.35 for a week saw a lot of $3.29 Friday and Saturday my station and surrounding ones is $3.25 cash or credit. Of course we have one nut here at $3.52 for awhile now $3.45 yet suckers go to him.

Oops, that was yesterday that I reported on. Went out today and it was $3.25.

Could we actually return to sub-$3 gas again??

Yeah, it's really that bad. LOTS of stations with no gas at all today. I'd bet there will be a lot of gasoline retailers closing up shop in the ATL metro area before the really slow season in January. My parents in law own a gas station, and I can tell you they are living on the thinnest of margins. Add supply problems to this and it's pretty simple to see many of the existing retailers just won't survive this current artificial shortage.

I actually saw a guy pushing his Explorer to the pump today, and the station's employees were waving people off because they were almost out of ALL gas.
