MERCEDES C300 or LEXUS IS250

Will give Mercedes some credit with the C300, as I have a close friend with one and it is one of the better Mercedes I have seen for the $$$ in a while, but still I would worry about their history in the long term and the C300 hasn't been out there long enough to prove itself. Keep the IS.

id do it :P its a upgrade over the 250. my friend has a c300 and i have 2 say it was pretty fun to drive. she got mad i took it to 120 tho :P + the interiors is really nice inside. i havent sat in the backseat to say it has more or less space than the IS. also another + is more exclusive than the IS. its poppin up everywhere!!

Jimmy, I was going through the same thing buying my car. The only difference is I didn't have an IS at the time of buying. The C300 is a REALLY nice car, really nice. It is a tad bit faster than your IS250 and a little more stiff.
Nothing beats the Lexus interior Jimmy, since you've already had it you'll be disappointed with the c300. It looks like the center console is empty where as the IS is nicely filled and well structured.
Keep the IS for now, and when your lease is almost up start researching for a different car you'd think that you would enjoy.

The C300 is nice but unless you're going with 4Matic, I don't see any reason. I mean it is one of the nicest C-Classes I've sat in but if the IS is paid for, I'd keep it and see what Lexus has down the road.

That vaulted thud of the doors as they are shut closed. Japan has never truely equalled that German tank feeling.
Go look at a 335i or A4 2.0T.

I agree they make great doors that thud. Thats b/c the window regulator will break and you have to open the door in the Burger Kind drive thru to complete your order.

Those were bad Bosch window regulators on Volkswagen Jetta/Golfs (1999-2003), Passats (1998-2000) and 3-Series, Mercedes. That problem has long been corrected. I just had to pay $300 to get my Accord window regulator replaced, so it's applicable to all cars.

Both good cars imo. The C class just has more legroom in back and has the Mercedes panache & tank like build quality.. Those doors on the C class are solid including the brackets which look like they belong on a bank vault. The Lexus IS has a better looking interior and control than the Merc. Fit & finish are excellent on both though.. I would give the edge to the Merc when it come to driving experience.. I personally would go with the C do to the available sport package and aftermarket support as well. I had an opportunity along with others to drive the C class at the Merc C class event.
