Caddy has built a very impressive car. It is a shame that their timing for delivering these performance monsters seems to be a bit off. I think they learned a lot from the quality and reliability of their previous CTS-V and this car will address most of those issues. The interior is certainly a very nice place to be.

The one downside to the 335s lately is the fuel pump problems going around. I love my car and I haven't had any problems yet but there are plenty of people that are having issues. MOST are people that got some crazy piggyback tune that doesn't change other parameters besides boost.

Caddy is making a great car here, however how wants to own a Caddilac right now anyway? The car looks like crap. I don't see it selling too well given how its younger brother drives. I rented a CTS in Seattle and it sucked.

Enthusiasts who know what this car is all about & whom are aware of Caddy's racing heritage..

The CTS-V cannot be compared to the bread & butter CTS that you drove. Two different cars under the skin buddy.. I've driven the last gen CTS-V & even posted GM driving events over the years on this board for you guys to experience this car & the Vette for yourselves..https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...HEVY+REV+IT+UP

Drive this car before passing judgement...

Not a fair comparison. The BMW 525 has a much different personality than the M5. And my wife's old E350 drives nothing like my E63.

The performance numbers look great on the CTS-V. I'm definitely looking forward to a test drive.

can anyone explain the no lift shifting? i assume he means no lift on the accelerator. even then, how does that work? wouldnt the rpms shoot up and then get slammed down when the higher gear is in?

As others have commented, that's like passing judgement on the IS-F based on a test drive of the IS 250.

As DASHOCKER has commented, you just have to get out to a GM event and drive one. I've taken the CTS-V out several times in the past, it's a totally different beast than a regular CTS, which of course, in past GM drive ents, you could take for a spin and compare.

I know it has muscle, a typical American style. But at the end I would still choose BMW M5 or BMW M3 sedan over this Cadillac.

If I had the money, I'd consider this along with the M5, IS-F twin turbo, etc etc
