I love it. I love the styling.

I also notice that double stitching is back for the seats.

There is a professionally produced vid here, not the unveiling but it shows the droptop in action.

The rear end, it interests me, whether in person it's better I don't know, but I was surprised how it seemed to differ vs. the IS sedan. Actually the taillight shape makes me think of a blend with this version of the Toyota Camry/Aurion...they used those taillight shapes, infused LX-type LED bars, and more squared off lighting. The IS sedan version is more curvaceous. In a way the taillights are like the rest of how the IS-C squared off the lines of the IS sedan.
By far the best rear end of the IS250 is the C verison.

I agree the speech wasn't all that. I just liked the very last part of the video. The IS C is starting to grow on me...

Found these on someone's Flickr album. Not sure whether to combine them with the Paris pics or not.

Saw this at an interstate rest area today. What the IS-C should have looked like:

Two seater convertibles look a helluvalot better than 4-seater convertibles.

The proportions are better on a two seater. It looks like a bullet.

A four seater will have an extended rear with bulbous roofline.

Oh well...

SLK's never look good to me, old or current(though current >> old), not that I think the IS250C is a beauty queen ...

They supposely do that for better trunk space? as suggested in their PR ...
Have to wait & see it in person to know how big it really is ...

I am not in love with the design, but I am sure a set of coilovers and staggered 20's will fix that quickly. I never liked the rear qtr panel of the IS. Now it looks worse
