Very easy on the ears and elegant feeling to it, not like beep beep beep from Lexus/Toyota.

The automatic seatbelt pusher is cool too, it suprises me everytime I jump into my friends 335.

my friends bimmer got it.... the pusher makes you wanna put your seat belt on...

 

My 2007 doesn't do that chime sound (it comes from the audio system's speakers) but the 2008 loaner cars do. It's actually really loud by default... I always go into the settings on the loaners I get and turn it all the way down which is a much more pleasant level to me.

Mine does a more normal bong sound like you'd hear in most other cars.

 

I want sexy voices chiming in.

"Seatbelt on. Tight. Tighter. Yes. Yes! YES!!!"

That seatbelt handing thing is flimsy looking. Cool idea but the execution seems cheap.

That sound isn't just for the seatbelt... That sound is to let you know that the key is INSIDE the vehicle. The tone actually changes when you put the key in the ignition... My dad and I always mock it when we get into his 530.

 

it isn't a seat belt reminder... its because the seat belts were placed so far back... and this thing breaks often... well on my friends and many others on the bmw forum..

Pretty lame.

I would rather have BMW spend all the development on that stupid seat belt and pour it into reliability.

 

When I used to valet cars I had an old 1973 Benz coupe come in all the time that had this same seat belt pusher concept. Nothing new...

 

My uncle's 88 Benz SEC 500 does the same thing without the chime, the sound sounds like a computer game.
