Post The crooks $700B bailout includes $128m for "auto racing tracks"

It seems the $700B financial bail out plan that was passed by the Senate last night includes tons of pork, including $128 million for "auto racing tracks". There's no other explanation of where this money will go or why. Since NASCAR is profitable and doesn't need this type of government intervention, it doesn't seem logical for it to go there (not that logic matters in this situation).

Realistically, we'll probably never even see where this money went, it'll just disapear. But thinking optimistically, I'd like to see it used to get F1 back to the US.

$160 million for rum producers in Puerto Rico & Guam

For $270 million maybe we can all get hammered and pierce these dolts in the ****....

Congress denied it once, lets see if they can do it again.

I love it how the peeps who are running this ballot are saying, "its not a bail out"...LMFAO
If the market wasnt plummeting like it is, then I would still believe its a bail out. In Bush's idea, here have a few grand to play with for 5 yrs, then we want it back 50 times the interest

The more it doesn't get approved, the bigger the amount.

It's for Paulin to go drifting behind the white house between meetings.

Local politicians in Mexico cut us a lot of tax slack on our 1/4 mile track there. If it wasn't for that, we'd have no track and street racing death/injuries/stupidity would have continued. But I agree, if this is going to NASCAR and friends, they don't need it.

F1 is supposedly looking for a site in the US for 2009 or 10, but no none of the pork went to help that cause.
