Thats the kind of supra I would like to pick up. I am currently looking to buy a nice weekend track car/ tool around car. I am looking to spend less than 15k for the car. I am looking at old supra, tt 300z's, 240's with a sr20det swap, integras with k20 swaps, or old evo's that need some rebuilding. I will consider an STI as well, but the evo and sti route will cost me more
Were I you, i would look at police auctions online around the Los Angeles area...TONS of supras (police impounds, tore up or not) for very little money...
300ZXTT's are rare, and they can be fast but they are pigs (HEAVY)...the supra is a much stronger and lighter platform from the get go...even with every aftermarket CF body part available and stripping of the interior, you would be hard pressed to get a 300ZXTT under 3200lbs...thats still the weight of a mustang. The curb weight from the factory is 3,481 pounds (1579 kg)...either way you look at it, thats a heavy car...
Damn...very nice Supra! Is there any possible way that one can pick up a nice heavily modified Supra for around $45K (maybe not to the extent of this one)? I would love to buy one like this in a year or two as a weekend; I'd keep the GS as my DD.
