Ford Unveils Shot of 2010 Mustang Dash
Last month, we brought you some images Ford released to tease its Mustang faithful. Today, the company released a more revealing picture of the new muscle car’s dashboard. Compared to the current Mustang, the 2010 sports a new steering wheel, redesigned gauges and center vents. The top of the dashboard seems almost identical in shape, but below the center vents there’s a noticeable new shape, presumably to make room for a new center stack of controls. Check out the current dash and this new one side by side, below.

Plain is o.k. for the Mustang. You can't get any other RWD V6/V8 for the price they offer.
I do like the new set-up. It has more visual interest than the slab of fake-metal across the whole dash. The varying peaks and valleys of the dash and steering wheel adds motion at glance.

They need to raise the stereo higher onto the mid-part of the dash, like the original car. And why put buttons on the new 2010 wheel spokes?.....they look grossly out of place for a Mustang.

Only now is Ford getting rid of the brick radio units. The Focus finally ditched it. None of the new models out or coming out will have it. (Mustang, Fusion/Milan/MKZ, MKS, Flex, MKT, and the F150)

Nice, but I wish the two large main guages were closer.

One thing I noticed after having sat in a rental car Mustang, is that the pics make it the interior 1000X better than the real thing. You can't really see the cheap plastics and the photoshopping they do makes the dull colors come to life more. That being said, I've never expected the mustang to have a good interior anyways.

Trash imo. The american car makers need to lear how to design a dash. Its frumpy and not very differnt from the ****yy dash I see everytime I rent one in Hawaii. I wish they would get over the retro thing. Look how cheap the materials look. Look at the boxed head unit, and that cheap shifter. The funny thing is the body changes they are making are also meaningless.
