There is a dealer feedback section on bimmerfest which is great http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=50 Did you post your concerns there Threxx? In any event, glad the dealer is addressing your issue.. Get a new E90

Yeah, isn't that ironic. One of our own members was mentioned by name when I was talking to one of the corp. communications managers during a press event last year. Because of that whole incident, they're now more aware of certain individuals who like to post up and talk as if they're official, but have no position or rank to do so.

Well apparently they read my post, and even though I never gave my name on the forum, they matched it up to service records in the area and called my cell phone apologizing for my experience and asking if they made a lease payment for me or put me in a brand new comparable 335i with no additional cost if that would make me feel better about the bad luck I'd had with my car.

I just told them to do whatever they felt was fair and they said they were going to talk to the dealer and get back to me.

Anyhow... I was impressed to say the least. Most of the time I hear about poeple complaining to corporate and being more or less ignored or told to take it up with the dealer and usually the dealer does nothing. In this case I didn't even complain to corporate (yet), I just posted my complaints on a public message board!
THAT is impressive. It is sad that for most car brands that it is the dealers that cause many of the issues. Even somethings that go wrong that wouldnt be an "issue" is quickly made into one by the ineptitude of the dealer. I'd personally take the new 335i (more warranty time!!!)

dealers didnt build car that had many issues :-).

Moral of the story - when you have an problem that you can not solve the easy way, complain to hell and back and you just might get it solved.

you complaining to the dealer is between you and the dealer. Might cost them your repeat business. Your complaints on the forums reaches out to countless people and could potential cost them significantly more.

I agree though, but lexus takes their time to get things done

1. LS460 finally has the passenger memory seat
2. GS450h got a bigger trunk
3. IS vert
4. Don't have to push "I agree not to sue Lexus if I crash" at the beginning, but still locked out in motion.
5. More importantly, no more cassette player

Lexus if you are listening, please stop killing off your kids! You killed the GS and you killed the SC. Don't be like Acura and have your best car be discontinued 13 years ago. The 2 GS was a great car and the new one is probably the worstof its peers.

If Lexus does listen, then tell them to make a line of SPORTS sedans and a line of LUXURY sedans, and stop trying to combine the two. They've already ruined the ES, and may be on the way to doing so with other models.

Also, let's see some of that old Lexus tank-solidness back in their construction and quality of materials. There's too much lightweight plastic and cheapness in a lot of what they build today.
