That, and the fact that it's the wrong vehicle at the wrong time. Infiniti put a great deal of care into producing a great vehicle. Unfortunately its a vehicle that doesn't make much sense. Had they made the car more useful it might have done better but in this economy when virtually all car makes (and this should not be overlooked) are having absolute disastrous drops (Lexus included) it still may never have met sales goals.

A pity. I thought it looked fantastic and decently priced. Yeah the back seat was a bit tight when I sat in it at the autoshow. I haven't seen many around though.

 

They probably don't care, most if not all of those EX35 are probably leased, if people bought what they could afford they would be driving Nissan Rogues, Rogues are all over the place, and they look pretty identical to the EX on the highway except for the taillights

 

wow, this is jsut sad........ we checked out the EX couple months ago, and after some extensive time at the dealership (it's lovely when the sales think you can't afford the car), the car just doesn' tmake sense

it looks pretty cool from the outside i would give it that, but as stated in the article, the rear room is just retarded at best. even with the rear door wide open and my wife being 5ft tall, she had problem getting into the car.....

that for the IS? i can probably live with it. that for a cross over? no freaking way

 

how are they going to improve back seat, thinner seats? they cant do much more...

I dont think it great product at wrong time - in that case, it would sell well because it is small suv and thats whats needed right now. Problem is that it is just packaged bad.

 

I never understood the mini-suv thing anyway. The EX looks nice and handles a little on the sporty side but who wants a small, sporty utility vehicle. Not much utility in it. No space. People are showing good sense by not meeting target sales expectations. The thing is in no-where-land.

 

they move the rear seats back making less cargo room

 

that won't really help unless they push back the rear wheels as well. the wheel arch makes it really hard to get in the car as well

 

There are just so many cars to choose from in this segment. The car doesn't look impressive at all in person and it's over priced.

Give me an A4 Avant!
