Congrats on the car purchase. VERY NICE!!

I just saw one today. Black on Black, cant miss those LED anywhere. They are so bright. However, whats interesting is that one side of the LED's goes out when you use your blinker (and its totally necessary). I thought the car already had burned out lights, but I noticed it came back off once he switched lanes.

Some people are switching that off (meaning LEDs stay on), which you can do by editing the car's memory banks using a device called VAG-COM (kind of a funny name I think). Do you think it is really that hard to see the signal otherwise?

VAG=Volkswagon Auto Group

I think the "blinking" DRL behavior was annoying, so I turned mine off.

If your headlight switch are in "Off" your DRL is at full brightness, and the blinker may be a little hard to see (there's a blinker on the side mirror too though). If you keep it in Auto mode, the DRL is at 60-70% intensity, so the contrast of the blinker is much more noticable.

that's very interesting info on the blinker and the led. i haven't seen that before

but yes those leds are really darn bright and LOVELY

i was driving side by side with an R8 yesterday and i got in front of them. staring at those led in my mirror, gosh, it's dangerous (coz' i couldn't keep my eyes on the road!!!!!!!!)
