I can't wait to see it with bigger wheels and a drop. That is the perfect commuter. Wow!

They really have to stop putting Lexus styling cues in Toyota...The blue hued emblem and the dash from the new RX (the color scheme/general shape)

Wow, step in right direction since it's not as ugly as current Prius.

Overall the new Prius looks like a good redesign.

However, Toyota made a paramount mistake by not including a Idrive like control for the hvac/nav/radio like they have introduced in the HS and RX. Having a the gear selector and hazard button where they are is a huge mistake.

Also, what is with the heated seat controls? Why did they put them underneath the centre console. Another mistake

Totally agree. Never thought that the Prius could be this appealing. Some 18" very lightweight alloys, and a 1.5" drop = win.

Honestly, I agree. I thought the Camry was bad enough, but they are really pushing it. Is L-Finesse v2.0 about to debut soon? Because this is really stupid.

No, I don't just mean mechanically. I mean stylistically, and virtually every other way.

I am surprised, because what they delivered in the prius, I was expecting in the HS.

I like the new Prius a lot too but let's be serious here, the above statement really isn't all that hard to achieve...

Can somebody please explain "remote air conditioning"?

Does it actually run the compressor and coolant and produce cool air as if the car was running? Or does it just run as a vent, circulating exterior air in and interior air out?

If it's just a vent then it's not a world first... other cars have had solar powered interior vents too.

There is such as thing as remote AC - it's called a Viper with one of the ignition outputs spliced into the B+ wire into the HVAC system

Anyways, I'd bet Wald, Tom's and the usual JDM suspects are developing stuff for the new Prius. I like the JDM Toyota Modellista kit for the current Prius.

It turns on the A/C compressor and runs off the HV battery. The solar panel does the venting like the A8 and the 7 Series of yore.
