Acura’s new X-6 rival crossover officially named ZDX

This is an intentionally cryptic message
Sometimes car companies pay current customers to preview future products
They might show an all wheel drive activity cross over with interior materials far better than the crap in the 04 TL
They might get dumped on like there is no tomorrow by the participants for bringing a doofy concept forward and not having an nsx replacement
They might not listen to the participants and market the vehicle anyway

I had no idea Acura was planning an X6 fighter.. I drove alongside a Honda S2000 this morning on the Westside Highway and was amazed at the sound & performance of that roadster. Acura should make a variant of that car asap and scrap the x6 fighter idea.

The same morons that predicted the RDX would sell (which it hasn't) somehow convinced people this will when it was proposed. Surely it will undercut both the X6 and FX in price but that won't help much.
At this point Acura like Infiniti will have just as many SUV things as Cars.
TSX/TL/RL/RDX/MDX/DumbassX vehicle.

The S2000 is an amazing car. I too would much rather see a S2000 type Acura vehicle with a highly tuned v6 and offered in a hardtop, there are some rumors they may get something like that or a larger sports car/sports coupe. The X6 fighter is stupid and pointless and a waste of a model line, I wish they would just drop it and the RDX and replace them with something else like a sports car and a sports/lux coupe.

Exactly. When they decided to replace the Integra with the RSX and discontinue it a few years later, people are going to want a replacement.
Hell I would still love to get a 95-97 GSR as a daily driver.... TSX is too big to fill in the void the Integra left. Not to mention, that it isn't as fun to drive.

Looking at those shots....if the thing had 3-4 inches of ground clearance with a slimmer roofline and was geared towards the CLS and others, it would be sharp. The profile and other design cues would be befitting for a 4 door coupe.
However, knowing that it's going to be 6-7 inches off the ground with more SUV esque traits...it ruins it for me. Something about that round bubble butt being so high off the ground just doesn't work. Now, even with that said, it seems like it could be more attractive than the X6. Not that this is a hard feat
We will though, have to see the grille to make a final decision

One rare exception, in this area at least, has been the BMW X6 (one of this thread's topics). Even in this traditionally big-bucks area, I see very few, if any on the road.......I can count them with the fingers of one hand. Even at the D.C. Auto Show, the X6 on display there got very little interest.
