You're basing a 'Porsche builds unreliable junk' sweeping statement on one person's (a new member with 5 posts) statement?

Porsche does pretty well in this area....

EVERY auto manufacturer has one-off problems. How they deal with the individual (and bigger) issues and prevent them in the future is what sets the leaders apart.

Well, given that the PDK has been used in their race cars for over 20 years.I'd say this is a special case.

Porsche not only is reliable but is always at the forefront of technology. PDK is based on a tranny from 20 years ago they used in racing as AJ stated. They just now decided to put it inside their production cars.

Their new engine has the same displacment yet more power and is more fuel efficient. That is another example of their technology.

As Dave stated, its a one time thing, like the GT-R tranny blowing. Also with new additions, sometimes things become faulty.

1 tranny is not a trend.

Our Administrator, Dave, and his wife like Porsches enough that they bought one themselves....and you don't buy Porsches for chump change. There are also a number of other CL members here on this forum who own and drive Porsches. You can't tell them ALL that they drive junk.

hey mang, now that PDK is here, Porsche has nothing left to do but improve upon a lineup of great models and bring their cars closer to perfection.

I'm going to own one in my future. I will make sure of it.
