Here's a pic of him running a Z06 around.
Is it just me of does the drivers face look just like the Vette?

Nah GM knows how to crank up the boost and lie about power outputs just fine. I think they wrote the book in the 1970s

This makes the car 2 seconds faster than even the LF-A

More ZR-1 goodness from Edmunds comparing it to the GT-R.

i don't care.

it still has a cheap interior, like a base model Cobalt.

I wonder if it outdid the Cadillac CTS-V? The Caddy, supposedly, recently set a new record.

The article said that the ZR-1 was within 0.3 seconds of the Viper ACR....so we have 2 or 3 possible records here.

If the GT-R is Godzilla what does that makes the superior V-Spec

It's a better interior than Corvettes have had for a long time, just as the Cobalt's interior beats the Cavalier's by a country mile.

The CTS-V went 7:59 which is a record for a verified production sedan time.

The Viper ACR still has the faster time but I give much greater props to the Vette since the ACR that ran the track was one with the 'hard core package' which basically translates to every last non-necessary component of the car being stripped out except the AC/heater. The ZR1 on the other hand has full sound deadening still installed, nav, full stereo, power everything, on-star, a much nicer interior w/ leather wrapped dash, and a dramatically more comfortable ride from all accounts I've come across probably due to the adjustable MRC suspension. If 0.3 seconds on a 7:22 is the difference between a race-specific car and a car I can live with day to day, I'll take the daily car every time.

It makes the Z06 better bang for your buck!

Wait til the V-Spec comes out

We'll see how honest they are with "the ring" lap times.

A car that doesn't exist yet.

And given the current climate, may never be released. Ghosn is called "Le Cost cutter" for a reason.

I mean at least GM doesn't include a transmission made of glass :/

That's more apt a description of the LF-A don't you think? The production V Spec is scheduled to show at the Tokyo Auto show.
