Default Looks like supply caught up with GT-R demand...

I thought it would be a long time before they would be in stock. Couldn't figure out a good way to insert the ad.

I don't think there are any specials on the GT-R. They have in stock though. I noticed Nissan is whoring the GT-R out already in every print ad, now relating the Altima, Rouge etc to the GT-R.
LOL

^^ Thanks very much for putting the ad in. Don't know why, I was just surprised that it was already sitting in a lot around here. I think it's a heckuva buy for what it is but I thought it would be in a bit more demand than it is. Guess I was wrong.

I would never buy a car the owner drove, rentals are treated better

Just like you get your Corvette ZR1 at a Chevy dealer you get your GT-R at a Nissan dealer. And the GT-R isn't going to keep the dealership alive.

Most people probably just walked and were turned off by the stupid markups dealers were putting on the GTR and will just weight till markups stop or get a used one. Only so many are going to pay stupid markups for cars and most are just turned off and say forget it.

I would wait until I could buy one for $5000 under MSRP, which might never happen .

Please take a trip to your nearest dealer and tell them you are ready for a GT-R and offer them 5k less than the MSRP and watch how quickly they pull out the buyers order!! Having them sit around hurts allocations, in turn they need to move them as soon as possible to earn more!!

I personally visited this dealer and saw the car. Why is it still there? One sales person suggested that it might still be there because it's red... haha The car is not that hot looking in red IMO; it looks a lot better in the dark gray, black, and white. It is also commanding $40k mark up at the moment' $135k + fees; not sure if this is high, low, or standard, but the dealership is also located, where it, along with other dealers think cars sell themselves.

Red or not, it is just the start. When the GT-R first came out, the guppies were there to swim up and agree to pay whatever the dealer wanted to have one for their very own and the dealers were happy to charge a huge premium. As long as they are in tight supply, they will stay at a premium. Once they start to sit on the lot unsold, the premiums go away. Then they start going at and then under sticker. Probably not there yet but I was surprised that there was an unsold one on the lot at all right now. Especially around here. Nissan won't flood the world with GT-Rs but they are going to be closer to Chevy and the vette than they will ever be to a Lambo or Ferrari, or Porsche for that matter.

I wasn't really looking, just thumbing through the paper. I don't know what was more interesting, the fact that there was an unsold one on a lot here or that they put the fact in an ad in the Murky?

We'll be looking at October sales figures next week and I doubt Nissan dealers are going to have much to be enthusiastic about. If I were shopping for a GT-R, I would be getting the impression that it won't be long before they will go at sticker and then will start going under sticker. And my guess is both will happen quicker than I would have imagined two months ago.

Still a great car IMO, but as Nissan fills the supply pipe, the premiums are going to go away. Just naturally happens. Then we'll see about rumors of factory price hikes. Still a limited demand model. Sure would rather have one of these than the equivalent vette.

I am going to put my deposit down for a grey GTR once the spec V comes out. I have family in Nissan corporate that can get me a family discount .By then the GTR will old news and the bugs will be worked out, and considering the spec v will be around, there will probably be alot of cool mods by then ( factory and aftermarket). I think about that day all of the time. My dream is to have a GTR, and an LS460. They are the top in the world of the japanese car.
