Well it's really up to you. If you think someone's out to do you some harm or have some stalkers, probably might want to blur. Other than that, it's just paranoia

I just blur plates from other people's cars out of courtesy. As for me, I don't need to take the extra time to blur my plates.

But, like mesca said, if you think people might be "out to git ya", you might want to blur

There were some guys on Cardomain a few years ago who believed there were car theifs trolling around there and using license plate numbers to find modded cars to jack stuff. It's your call, but remember, a person who sees your plates on the road would have no way of knowing your list of mods. If you list or display your mods online, it's a different story.

I think it is a good idea to do it. Why? Well let's say you do something to **** someone off - like have a User Name that some people might take offense to... now you post a picture of your car with plates. Now, these people who don't like you, can find you and well maybe do something bad to you or your car.

Of course they should be easy to find, just look for the User Name that says "I8ALXUS"

It's really your preference. I blur mine (or modify it) as well as others (if they happen to be in the picture).

I wipe the plates of cars that belong to me or people I know.

I usually blur them out but lately I've been using this nifty little object

I dont think its offensive at all. I had the plates on my G35 sedan but have gotten rid of them, but still have it as my screen name because my lexus is not a beamer eater. she doesnt eat bimmers. she's to classy for that crap

Right - you don't find it offensive, but others might. That's my point.

as a car photographer i do not bother blurring out my or any one elses plates. if you are paranoid or if your car community is shady dont be active and post your car online or attend events

People should worry more about the **** they put on myspace or facebook than having a picture of their license plate online.
