I am also not a fan of that flat four. It may make decent power, but my god does it sound awful.

Well, in that case, there are a lot of douches on the road. Here the WRX is driven by a lot of people from teens up to about 40. It IS rare, though, to see those over 40 or so in one. And you don't see a lot of females of any age in them either.

This looks like the Toyota Celica All-Trac of yesteryear.. Toyota needs to produce this car right here & slap a Turbo 4 in it!

Agreed.....and thanks. I had forgotten about the old Celica All-Trac. If they can find a way to graft the Subaru AWD system to a Toyota engine, that would be even better.....Subaru generally does AWD better then Toyota, but Toyota, in general, makes more durable engines. The Subie engines, however, are low and flat, for a low center of gravity and good handling.

My understanding here is that it would not be sold cheap enough to be under the Scion brand. RWD in itself raises the price of the car enough to kick it out of our target pricing.

The one theory about this car that I heard is that this car will be sold under 2 names, an Impreza-coupe replacement and a Celica Replacement. For the Impreza coupe only AWD will be offered. For the Celica replacement both FR and AWD will be offered, as a GTS and an All-Trac model, respectively.

I really forgot where I got that from, either this forum or NASIOC or somewhere, and I do doubt it's credibility. However I do find it interesting, and hopes that it might be true.

You mean the Scirocco? If It's coming to America it's going to be a low-volume high-tier performance/luxury model, presumably to replace the GTI R32. I don't think Toyota should make that their main competitor
