"It looks like that powerplant will be around 2.0L in size and put out around 200 horsepower. Based on an all-new RWD platform, the affordable coupe should show up Stateside by the end of 2010, or possibly early 2011."

I don't care what brand they bring it out under, as long as the car itself is good. I would buy whichever one it comes out under provided its a good car. I like the current tC as it is, so if they can improve on that I'm all for it.

Now let's see them stick in the Subie AWD system. That's one of the things that Subaru still does better than Toyota.
It wouldn't necesarily compete against Subaru's own Impreza because Imprezas are all 4-doors, even the WRX/STI. It would be good competition for the upcoming VW Corrado, if the Corrado gets the 4-Motion.

I'm pretty quite sure the tC's replacement will not be this RWD Toyota/Subaru project.
We really would love to have this car under the Scion brand, but there is a small issue with pricing- This car would NOT fit into Scion's entry level pricing of under $20k, and that could be an issue.

The aim of this car is to be sold for cheap. Light weight, sporty, cheap..... wasn't it?
