Lexus better not let the NSX come out BEFORE the LF-A ... I hope
It seems thats going to happen and SHAME on Lexus. Thing is the last NSX lost 800 million (even though it was one of the greatest cars ever made) and I don't see this selling or making any money as Acura hasn't done anything to elevate the brand.
This car will be 100k. Acura cannot sell a 50k RL so no matter how good of a performer it is, the Acura image/name does not translate to luxury past the entry level segment.
With the current economy, it's not wise to introduce a 150K car that will not make the company any money.

No time is perfect or good for a expensive sports car that not many can afford, especially one that does not have the name recognition of Corvette, 911, Ferrari, etc. The economy was doing well in the mid to late 90's and nobody was buying mid priced/expensive Japanese sports cars, they sat on the lots and most got discontinued, and they were some of the best designs and best technology to come out of Japan. The economy may not be doing well today but in a year or so it may be great and it takes a while to finally build and release a car. If Acura waits a year or two extra when the economy is better to build and sell the car it will take at least another year for it to reach showrooms and by then the economy may tank for some other reason. Nissan and Audi released the GTR and R8 when the economy was falling and is now pretty bad and they are selling with huge markups. The NSX replacement is an image car and a technological showcase and is going to be too expensive for high sales, they are kidding themselves if they think it is going to sell in high numbers no matter what the economy is like. If the car gets fantastic reviews and has a great reputation it will sell fairly well and people will spend the money on it but it is not going to sell in big numbers at near or over 100K no matter the economy is unless it is a Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, or Aston Martin.
I say just release the car and stop trying to play the economy and right time to release because the longer you wait the better the competition gets and the less people care, same with Lexus with the LFA.
Supra has been rumored forever. No official ANYTHING from Toyota. We'll see the LF-A before we see a Supra replacement. At least we've seen concepts and prototypes running around of the LF-A.
