I'm interested in one myself, as a potential Outback competitor.....though I'm generally sold on how Subaru does AWD with the flat-boxer engines.

I would like to read a great review on
MR2
new Supra

Toyota clearly has proven it can make incredible family vehicles. I yearn for something more.

I think it would be best to differentiate this from the Highlander by keeping it a 5-seater. They already share the same engine options and near the same amenities.
Giving the Venza a "sedan" misnomer will help its sales. Don't call it a crossover; don't call it a SUV.

My guess is that in spite of the poor economic and new car sales conditions, the Venza will do well. Not as good as it would sell in better times, but it will be a success.

Outback, Murano, Edge, CX-7. To me it beats them all, I expect it to be floating all over the streets of NY like the new gen Highlander.

Does anyone know the comparative difference of rear passenger room between the Camry and Venza?

I feel your pain, but the middle of the market is where the volume and $$'s are. Maybe when things get better TMC will get more adventuresome.

I don't have the hard figures, but the Venza will probably have a little more rear headroom because of its roofline.....it is more of a hatchback/wagon than a sedan.
