The Boxster has a lot of things going right for it, the problem is Porsche will never make it perform better than the 911. Similar to the Camaro vs Corvette. The mid engine is a far superior platform than the rear engine. Not really a big fan of the Boxster myself, but I'm a big fan of the mind engine Cayman. The Cayman is a car that easily could out perform the 911 if Porsche wanted it to simple due to its chassis IMHO.

This has to be the best photo shoot campaign in recent automotive history. It's a bit over the top but composition and color palette are top notch. There is a lot of going on in one frame but car is always dominant. Great job!!
As far as the actually car goes the only one you ever want to drive is Boxster S which will run you +$60K and for that much money you get to choose lots of cars. Buying base Boxster is not worth it simply cause it just drives just like a regular roadster.

. Difficult to fit into a sleek body design, current softtop is very small when folded. The mid-engine and rear-engine designs make the space available for a folding top very small.
. With high end convertibles, a high quality soft top is considered to be more elegant.

Doesn't look anything new to me. All I see is new tail lights and added LED day lights. Sucks they didn't do something different with the LED lights like the Audi's, who incorporate it into their headlight housing, which makes them look eom. These new ones on these Cayman and Boxers look kinda aftermarket add on's.
