This is why the auto industry is going under. How much profit is made when you have to give vehicles away for FREE?
For the last two months, I have also seen most Ford dealers slashing $10,000 off of F-150's and even Nssan dealers have done the same with their Titan.
And yet I had to pay an inflated price for the privilage of buying a Yaris.
Supply and demand fella's, supply and demand...

What would be more attractive is if it was buy a Ram and get any model of equal or lesser value for free. I don't know many people that would want two of the same model. The exeption could be made with a the more in demand models such as the Charger and Caliber.

There must be better inventory control.

this begs the question......
if they're able to sell cars at 60% off now, where did all the money go when they were only 10% off and they made 50% extra profit????
where did all that money go huh???
MSRP is a bunch of bullhsit. they pull the numbers out of their ***.
how much does it cost to build a cheap big truck? $5000?

And no, a big truck doesn't cost only $5K to build. I hope you're exaggerating.
A US automaker spends $1,900 for each vehicle they make on pensions and health care ALONE not counting hourly labor costs. Then they have a million other cost breakdowns that have to be sliced from the pie.
Is there any wonder why GM and Chrysler are on the verge of bankruptcy and Ford not too far behind?
