used E55 might be cheap but watch out for repair cost!! when i had my E55 few year ago i had to visit dealer almost every other week and I was driving c230 rental more often that i drive my e55!!!! I remember clearly one time i think it had either the supercharge or ecu replace and I leave the dealer as soon as I hit the first light (less than a mile from dealership) check engine light was on again for like the 15th times! If my car didn't have warrenty I cannot imagine how much it was cost me to fix the car.. I would stay away form buying used unless it come with full factory warrenty!

 

indeed, i also read a lot of stories on the 55 series engine problems and also with the superchargers

to me, there is a reason why those cars are so cheap by now already
