Question 5 people to carry, you need 2 bring food/items for Thanksgiving dinner, what 2 drive?

So what would you drive? Lets say you had to do some serious grocery shopping or you were bringing tons of food elsewhere and needing to carry 5 people. What would you drive?

What is the ideal Thanksgiving vehicle?

For me? I would go with an automatic equipped vehicle for one and something with a cargo area. Since I'm carrying food and not luggage it doesn't have to be too big.

RS6 estate (E63 wagon as the American replacement) for me or Cayenne Turbo S. (some would say the Cayenne looks like a GIANT turkey and the RS6 grill looks like a turkey shredder)

Then give me the new RX 450h.

I'd say a Highlander or Venza if I had to be realistic and practical. Land Cruiser or GX 470 if I wasn't a poor college kid (not that I can afford the first two either )

M.B. E63 AMG.

Seats 5. Has 500 horsepower. 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

You better hold on to that cranberry sauce...

For hauling capacity, both human and cargo, my vote is for a LWB minivan. For those of us with a peculiar aversion to vans, a Suburban or Expedition fills the bill nicely. Forget import SUV's. With three rows of seating necessary for a driver and five passengers, you haul EITHER people or cargo, not both. What you need here is sheer size. Minivans do it with efficient packaging, big domestic SUV's do it with a massive footprint.

Performance is a total non-issue . . . if you want that green bean casserole to arrive INSIDE the dish, you will be taking it easy. Smoky burnouts will have the cranberry compote plastered to the tailgate, and a few 9/10th apex-clippers will reduce the family to gibbering idiots and your contribution to the dinner to turkey cobbler.

On behalf of other drivers who, like me will be hauling a good portion of the dinner a number of miles, let's all be safe out there . . . at least for one day. There's something else to be thankful for . . .

The Hartge X5 will get the job done. Seats seven in comfort and will do a lot of carving... Literally..

RXH. It's practical, reliable, has room for 5 and the cargo to boot.
