I have used PeopleFirst which then became Capital One Auto Finance's "Blank Check" auto loan in the past, easiest, greatest invention EVER for an auto loan, I loved the program and paid off two cars using them.

Now as of last year Capital One no longer does Person to Person auto loans, they make you go to a dealer to buy, which I just will never do.

Can anyone recommend a similar program to Capital One's that is still doing Person to Person auto loans?

Unless you go to your local bank or credit union, there are not many out there right now. It is very risky.

I found out People First, which got bought out by Capital One, has launched another venture, same thing, even better actually it appears YOU get to keep the title, I always hated selling a car I didn't have the title to. I am going to use them and will let everyone know how they are, I found them on bankrate.com so at least I know they are legit:
