The car was on sale for $50K with an original list of $70K. Your number sounds about right considering the exchange.

This dealer obviously is stuck with way too much inventory. People didn't want 'em when gas prices rocketed. Even people who wanted 'em often can't qualify due to the credit squeeze. Finally, the dealer PAYS each month while that inventory sits and wants them OUT of there. So best to give a smoking discount and get 'em out, even at a loss, and move on.

The new Escalade is a great vehicle. Those who buy 'em for 20k off are getting a great vehicle at a great price.

as much as I hate american cars I have always liked this new gen escalde . I saw a black one dropped on 24" asanti's and I fell in love. I still dont think I would ever purchase an american car, but its a nice ride when hooked up

As much as I agree with the car being overpriced.... It is the quintesential baller car. Sorry to say, but you dont see to many lexus LX SUV's in the driveway of as many " ballers" as you would see the escalade.

This promo is not running in NYC.. I've seen ads of this nature every holiday season in my local papers.. It is just to lure folks into the showroom and has nothing to do with the slump. Once you are in the showroom and waving the ad like it is the 5 o'clock free crack giveaway, reality will sink in that it is bs..
