Well you can not simply look into this you would need to look into the accounting records... other car manufactures might simply show smaller profits because of the large bonuses for everyone or numerous other ways.

That figure is impressive! I'd have to say that Porsche does overprice all their cars, and yet people still buy them because they are an attractive brand. However, I do agree that there are tons of internal factors that makes their business so profitable.

That's like saying because a lot of people buy ****, strip clubs shouldn't go out of business.

true, but sometimes it's hard to run a business when there are unions involved...*sigh*

To me that shows just how overpriced Porsches are and how much you pay just for the badge. I still like Porsche 911s but just judging the car can't really justify spending so much on it which is why I would get it used. From what I understand German autoworkers make very high wages, more so then American autoworkers and I believe they are the best paid autoworkers around the world so it is not like they make all that profit from paying the auto workers small wages but they certainly don't have as many autoworkers as the larger companies which factors in.

Porsche (and the premium German makes) aren't really after the value-conscious buyer who for all intents and purposes would probably already go towards a Japanese car.

as previously mentioned, labor rates in Germany are very high, and their unions are very strong. It helps that government is provided by the government, as Ford/Gm have to provide it themselves.

and honestly, those german factory workers actually work. I visited a MB factory once and i didn't see anyone lounging around.
