At Super Wal-mart today, I got premium for my Mercedes for $1.76 per gallon with the card.

Tomorrow, I will take the Lexus to a place off of the local freeway and likely get it for about $1.70. There is a local supermarket chain that sells premium gas at mid-grade prices every Friday. They are normally the cheapest anytime anyway. Hopefully premium will be about $1.65 up there.

I have 4 cars and regularly drive 3 of them. One is a work car and two others are days off car and between all three of them, its costing me no more than a total of $25.00 a week to keep them all filled up.

I drove my Mercedes on about 5 around town trips for 3 days and refilled today for $7.50. So nice!

I remember that in 1998 I had a 1989 Acura Integra RS. I remember gas at one point was as low as .75 per gallon around here! I could run it empty an completely refill for under $10.00.

We also had a big Cadillac with a 26 gallon tank and could fill it up for around $20.00.

Actually it is the other away around. It is now UN-reasonably low-priced. It is not encouraging the conservation we need if we are going to stop being dependent on foreign oil.

Now, I'm not saying that I want to see it go to $4.50 again like it was last summer (I don't), but if it stays like this, the stage is going to be set for even worse price hikes......and shortages.....in the future.

I'm with mmarshall..I'm willing to pay a bit more if it meant people were going to conserve. Gas prices will be more stable over the long run rather than having it yo-yo throughout the year. One day you could be paying $2.50/gal, the next day you could be paying $4.00, then back to $2.50...oh wait..that did happen.

I just hope the cheap gas lasts as long as possible (which is likely to end when the economies of the world stop slowing down) so we can make up what we loss from the $4-5 a gallon period

Yeah i'm not really liking this. We need hire gas prices so we can finally get out of the shackles of big oil.

I hope it goes up soon. If it doesn't they should raise the gas tax like in europe. I'm also hoping the next GS has a hybrid plug in version like the Fisker Karma with a 408 horsepower and 959 ft-lb torque electric motor

.
I was told this by an owner of a gas station that we might see $1 a gallon before New Years. He is crying poverty poor etc. almost started to cry how unprofitable his station is when he is 20 cents more than others.
Regular is $1.59 to $1.75 Super is $1.99 to $2.25

With all the bad news in regards to the economy, job loss, consumer spending and so on so forth, it is good to see the gas prices drop to these prices we are all seeing now. I spent $1.89 for Shell premium and could spend less than that when I use Sunoco. Since the prices are still coming down, I've opted to not fill my tank on my fill-ups. I instead just half the tank spending no more than $22.00.
