Yeah, 7 series or S class not possible for under $1000, unless you put a crazy down payment.

Seems like E/5/A6 is a good bet

Sucks with leasing an MB that some people will take it to jiffy lube

With that in mind, BMW is much better for a lease

How about the ES if GS is too small???

Is there an 8-track changer in the trunk?

Also look at the Infiniti G35 and M35/45 series. I don't think they will be disappointed. They are available in RWD/AWD.

TAPE DECK!!! ... clearly that makes the GS the one to go with

seriously though: if they think the GS is small, I think they want an E-Klasse or an A6. Are they opposed to wagons? If not, either of those in wagon form would be pretty cool.

Oh good point mmarshall, I always forget about Infiniti. IMO the interior is not quite as nice to the touch but if that doesn't bother them (my friend thinks I'm nuts any time I mention this point) then Infiniti is something to look at too.

They could probably BUY a decently equipped Toyota Venza for that much with a 3 year loan, 3-5K down, etc. Toyota calls it a sedan!

I would say Bmw, but since they are your paren'ts not sure how old they are, but i don't know if i would want some older people having a car with all those elctronics, but this is only if your parents are in their high 60's and up, if not, 535 or e350, i would pick the gs but you said it s to small

I don't know when it became common to accept $1000 a month leases, but that's just crap. If I were buying it....... but leasing to turn back in next year? You could damn near rent a car for a year with $12,000.00 and have full coverage zero deductible insurance.

But what would you get? Exactly...........a rental car. Not everyone wants to drive a Dodge Stratus or Ford Focus.

lease is effectively rent, you pay for depreciation plus rental fee. 12k a year and see if you can rent a s class with full coverage at enterprise?

different people see different values. my friend say he won't pay more than 400 a month to FINANCE a car. i currently don't really car about the 700 bucks i pay to LEASE a car. in fact we have already put aside 1000 - 1200 to lease another car. i can't justidy putting 2000 bucks a month for any cars, but i also know people who pay 3k a month just to lease two cars.

since you said lease, i say BMW because they have that thing where they warranty the entire car and replace w/e including bulbs in things.

Pay cash, you save in the long run. I will never lease a car, just my opinion.
